    MITCHELL, S.D. – The (RV) Dakota Wesleyan University football team fell to No. 7 Doane University in the NAIA Game of the Week, 68-67 last Saturday. Doane led a ferocious comeback in the final five minutes to defeat DWU in Crete, Neb. However, DWU sets their eyes on another NAIA Top-25 Great Plains Athletic Conference opponent as the No. 25 Hastings College Broncos visit tomorrow at Joe Quintal Field in Mitchell, S.D.

    CRETE, Neb. – With less than seven minutes to play in the game, the No. 22 Dakota Wesleyan University football team led the No. 7 Doane University football team, 67-49 in the NAIA Game of the Week. The 18-point lead wasn’t enough as Doane scored 19 unanswered points in the final 6:19 of the game to defeat DWU, 68-67 Saturday in Crete, Neb.

DWU opens Great Plains Athletic Conference play as they travel to Crete, Neb., to take on No. 7 Doane University at 1 p.m.

    MITCHELL, S.D. – Entering his sixth season as the Dakota Wesleyan University football head coach, Ross Cimpl looks to continue the momentum and add a sixth straight winning season under his belt. Cimpl has an overall record of 38-16, tied second for most wins in program history. The Tigers finished last season with an overall record of 8-3 and were 6-2 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. DWU has won at least seven games in each of the past four seasons.
