General: The Highlands Ranch, Colo., native is seeking his first action as a Tiger. 

Junior (2022): Played in 11 games for DWU… in his 22 at bats, he tallied seven hits, four doubles, four RBI and a pair of runs… earned three walks with a .400 on base percentage, and a .500 slugging percentage… on the mound, he tossed five complete frames allowing three hits, and one run… he struck out five batters for a 9.00 strike out per nine inning average with a 1.80 ERA.

Sophomore (2021): Saw action in 37 games… tallied a 0.308 slugging percentage over 120 at bats… was 7-for-8 on stealing attempts… recorded 15 runs, 19 RBI, five doubles, and one homerun…

BASEBALL CELEBRATES SENIOR DAY AGAINST JAMESTOWN, BEZDICEK SWIPES SINGLE-SEASON RECORD

MITCHELL, S.D. – A total of nine seniors were honored as the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team commenced its 2022 senior day against University of Jamestown in a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) doubleheader on Thursday evening from the newly renovated Drake Field in Mitchell, S.D. Senior Matt Bezdicek wrote his name into the Dakota Wesleyan baseball record books with his program best, single season 17th double of the season, and Wyatt Hunt homered; yet Jamestown stole the show with a 7-4 win in the opener and the 16-5 victory in game two.

BASEBALL BESTED BY MORNINGSIDE IN CONFERENCE ACTION

MITCHELL, S.D. – In its final week of the regular season and first action on the newly renovated Drake Field, the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball program endured a doubleheader sweep at the hands of conference foe Morningside University in Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) action on Monday afternoon in Mitchell, S.D. Morningside used a late spurt to claim the opener, 11-5, and held on for the 5-3 victory in game two.

DAKOTA WESLEYAN STUMBLES IN FREMONT VERSUS MIDLAND

FREMONT, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team stumbled against conference challenger Midland University on Friday afternoon from Moller Field in Fremont, Neb. Midland hung on to the opener, 3-2, despite a strong performance on the mound by Matt Bezdicek, and tallied the series win with the 8-5 win in game two.

YANKTON, S.D. - A pair of baserunners on the corners in the top of the ninth inning looked promising, though the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball program was unable to complete the comeback, falling to in-state foe Mount Marty University, 13-12, in a non-conference affair on Wednesday evening from Bob Tereshinski Stadium in Yankton, S.D. Senior duo Cameron Quigley and Carter Gullickson combined for a team-high six hits while Mount Marty stole the season rubber match.

BRANDON, S.D. – In spite of the frigid and cold conditions, the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball program handled in-state opponent Dakota State University by a score of 8-4 in neutral-site action on Wednesday evening from Aspen Park in Brandon, S.D. Both teams recorded 13 hits in the single-game affair, though it was a solid outing by senior Dawson Penticoff on the mound, and a timely homerun from Kalub Carmichael which kickstarted Dakota Wesleyan to the four-run victory.
