Bio

General: The transfer from Minnesota West Community College adds depth to the Tiger infield. 

Junior (2022): Played in 27 games for DWU, going 13-for-57 in 2022… he recorded a pair of doubles and one home run, for seven RBI, and ten runs scored… he walked 14 times with one stolen base for a .405 on base percentage, and a .316 slugging percentage… he tallied three extra base hits and was hit by a pitch on three occasions… he was part of three double plays and recorded a total of 16 putouts and two assists.

Sophomore (2021): Did not appear in any games for the Tigers.

High School: Competed on the diamond all four years ... paced the Lynxs to a 31-19 record during his junior campaign along with a state championship ... capped of his high school career batting .380 ... posted a 30-13 record during senior season ... also played for Brandon Valley Post 131 for four years.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – A Matt Bezdicek RBI double, 1-of-4 runs for the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball program in the top of the sixth inning and matching the single-season program record for doubles in a season with 16, along with a complete performance by sophomore Logan Davis on the mound propelled Dakota Wesleyan to the dominant, 11-1 road victory over in-state foe Presentation College on Tuesday evening from Fossum Field in Aberdeen, S.D.

HASTINGS, Neb. – Down to the final month of the regular season, the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball program squared off against league opponent Hastings College in a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) doubleheader on Saturday from Duncan Field in Hastings, Neb. Dakota Wesleyan was unable to hang onto a late lead in the opener falling 5-4 in extra innings, though DWU bounced back for a 7-5 victory over Hastings in the rubber match.

MITCHELL, S.D. – For the second-consecutive day, the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball program took to the diamond in the midst of windy conditions for an afternoon doubleheader versus conference foe Briar Cliff University on Sunday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell, S.D. Dakota Wesleyan clinched the back-and-forth opener, 11-10, while Briar Cliff managed the rubber match victory, 14-5, to even the series.

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – Seniors Matt Bezdicek and Dawson Penticoff logged a combined 12 innings pitched, however; the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball program dropped a pair of Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) contests versus league foe Dordt University on Saturday afternoon from Open Space Park in Sioux Center, Iowa. Dordt clinched the doubleheader opener, 1-0, by way of a pitcher’s dual and claimed the finale 4-0.

MADISON, S.D. – For the fourth time this season, the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team battled in-state foe Dakota State University on the diamond including a non-conference mid-week tilt on Tuesday evening from Flynn Field in Madison, S.D. Drew Kitchens and the Dakota Wesleyan offense leaped out to the initial 3-0 advantage, however; Dakota State powered back for the 14-4 home victory.

Bradley Skorezewski and Matt Bezdicek notched multiple hits in the matchup, however, Dakota Wesleyan was unable to overcome the four-run deficit in the single-game affair.
