General: The Iowa Central transfer joins the 2021 Tiger baseball team as an infielder.

Senior(2022): Played in 38 games for the Tigers in 2022… in his 117 at bats, he tallied 25 hits, six doubles, two home runs, 24 RBI, and 19 runs… he walked 18 times, posting a .324 on base percentage, and a .316 slugging percentage… in the field, he tallied 104 putouts, was credited with four assists and three errors for a .973 fielding percentage.

Junior (2021): Saw action in 33 games with 120 plate appearances… tallied a 0.300 batting average and a 0.475 slugging percentage on 36 hits, six doubles, and five homeruns… drove in 31 RBI and 20 runs… 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts… collected 217 putouts, nine assist, and 19 double-plays.

High School: All-District and All-City First Team selection for the Lynx … finished off his career with a .380 batting average, nine homeruns and 42 RBIs … competed in baseball all four years at Abraham Lincoln High School … was a four year letter recipient in baseball … played seven years of Legion/Club baseball … placed on the Academic Honor Roll.

MITCHELL, S.D. – A total of nine seniors were honored as the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team commenced its 2022 senior day against University of Jamestown in a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) doubleheader on Thursday evening from the newly renovated Drake Field in Mitchell, S.D. Senior Matt Bezdicek wrote his name into the Dakota Wesleyan baseball record books with his program best, single season 17th double of the season, and Wyatt Hunt homered; yet Jamestown stole the show with a 7-4 win in the opener and the 16-5 victory in game two.

MITCHELL, S.D. – In its final week of the regular season and first action on the newly renovated Drake Field, the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball program endured a doubleheader sweep at the hands of conference foe Morningside University in Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) action on Monday afternoon in Mitchell, S.D. Morningside used a late spurt to claim the opener, 11-5, and held on for the 5-3 victory in game two.

YANKTON, S.D. - A pair of baserunners on the corners in the top of the ninth inning looked promising, though the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball program was unable to complete the comeback, falling to in-state foe Mount Marty University, 13-12, in a non-conference affair on Wednesday evening from Bob Tereshinski Stadium in Yankton, S.D. Senior duo Cameron Quigley and Carter Gullickson combined for a team-high six hits while Mount Marty stole the season rubber match.

MITCHELL, S.D. – In the thick of a congested Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) postseason push, head coach Charlie Dubanoski, and the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball program helped its cause with a doubleheader sweep of conference rival Northwestern College on Saturday afternoon from Cadwell Park in Mitchell, S.D. Senior lefthanded pitcher Matt Bezdicek worked the complete game, and Dakota Wesleyan clocked the 6-4 opener followed by a 4-3 victory in the finale for the series win.

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Headed down the final stretch of the 2022 regular season, the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team battled conference foe Northwestern College in a pivotal doubleheader on Friday afternoon from Baseball Diamond complex in Orange City Iowa. Senior pitcher Dawson Penticoff collected the complete game on bump, and Dakota Wesleyan overcame a 6-4 loss in the opener with a must-have, 12-4 victory in game two.

HASTINGS, Neb. – Seven quality innings from Jereko Martinez on the mound and a season-high three RBI from freshman Michael Zeman assisted the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team to an even series split following a doubleheader matinee versus Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) opponent Hastings College on Sunday from Duncan Field in Hastings, Neb. Hastings grabbed the opener, 14-8, though Dakota Wesleyan answered the call with a sense of urgency in game two and ultimately secured the 9-4 road win.

Drew Kitchens and the Dakota Wesleyan offense leaped out to the initial 3-0 advantage, however; Dakota State powered back for the 14-4 home victory.
