General: The Riverton, Wyo., native adds depth to the Tiger pitching rotation in his second season on the mound. 

Junior (2022): Martinez took the bump for the Tigers nine times during the season, earning the start in seven of them… on the year, he was credited with two wins and four losses… he tossed a total of 34 2/3 innings allowing 41 hits and 25 earned runs… he struck out 28 batters for the third most of the pitching staff, notching a 7.27 strike out per nine inning average… he allowed two home runs as he posted a 6.49 ERA.

Sophomore (2021): Took the bump in five games pitching 5.1 innings… tallied an ERA of 8.44.

Freshman (2020): Made one appearance for the Tigers ... recorded five strikeouts. 

High School: Participated in football and baseball … All-Conference Second Team and All-State in football … was a part of the National Honor Society and was on the honor roll.

TIGERS DROP BOTH GAMES ON FIRST DAY IN TUCSON, ARIZ. STILL SEARCHING FOR FIRST WIN

Dakota Wesleyan baseball dropped both games on the first day of their Spring Trip in Tucson, Ariz. by scores of 13-2 against Benedictine University Mesa who improved to 10-7 on the season and 4-2 vs. Southwest Minnesota State University by a score of 4-2. The Mustangs improved to 2-1 on the year with the Tigers dropping to 0-5 and still looking for that first win of the 2023 spring season.

TIGERS DROP FIRST DH OF THE SEASON 12-2 & 8-0 AGAINST KANSAS WESLEYAN

The Dakota Wesleyan Baseball team dropped their first doubleheader of the 2023 season by scores of 12-2 in game 1 and 8-0 in game 2. The Tigers collected two runs on six hits in the first game while going scoreless with two hits in the second. Lane Darrow went 2 for 5 on the day with a run scored, double and a walk. DWU looks to get in the win column with a rematch against the Coyotes tomorrow at noon.
