General: Wilhelm adds depth to the pitching rotation for the Tigers in the 2021 season.

Junior (2022): Appeared in 14 games for the Tigers in 2022 all from the mound… he tossed 19 1/3 innings for DWU… allowing 19 hits and 16 earned runs… he struck out 20 batters for an average of 9.31 strikeouts per nine innings, while he posted a 7.45 ERA.

Sophomore (2021): Appeared in eight games… Credited with one save in his seven innings on the mound, recording a 7.71 ERA… allowed nine hits, nine walks, while striking out four in the 31 batters he faced.

Freshman (2020): Did not appear in any games. 

High School: Played legion baseball for Post 22 for four seasons ... finished with a 2.09 ERA in 74 innings pitched ... tallied a WHIP of 1.49 with an 8-2 record ... graduated with Cum Laude Honors.

TIGERS EARN FIRST WIN OF SEASON THANKS TO PAYNE'S GEM

The Dakota Wesleyan baseball team picked up their first win of the 2023 season with a 4-0 shoutout win over Bethany Lutheran College. Dexter Payne was the star in this one going eight shutout innings with five punchouts. Drew Kitchens followed up his three hit day yesterday with another three hit effort today. Lane Darrow continued his strong start to the season collecting three hits as well.

TIGERS DROP BOTH GAMES ON FIRST DAY IN TUCSON, ARIZ. STILL SEARCHING FOR FIRST WIN

Dakota Wesleyan baseball dropped both games on the first day of their Spring Trip in Tucson, Ariz. by scores of 13-2 against Benedictine University Mesa who improved to 10-7 on the season and 4-2 vs. Southwest Minnesota State University by a score of 4-2. The Mustangs improved to 2-1 on the year with the Tigers dropping to 0-5 and still looking for that first win of the 2023 spring season.
