Mitchell, S.D. – Dakota Wesleyan football begins its season at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28 from Joe Quintal field. The first game of the 2021 season for the Tigers is a nonconference matchup with the Trojans of Dakota State.
ABOUT THE TIGERS
- DWU finished the last three games of the 2020 season 3-0 as they look to pick up where they left off.
- In the 2020 season, the Tigers averaged 302.4 yards per game with five rushing touchdowns and 18 passing touchdowns.
- Dakota Wesleyan's leading rusher returns for this season in Jamin Arend. Last year, Arend averaged 58.1 yards per contest, scoring three touchdowns.
- The Tigers lost All-Conference Second-Team offensive player Spencer Neugebauer to graduation.
