Awards & Honors

Senior (2025): Started in all 11 games for the Tigers...recorded 42 tackles, one of those tackles for loss, recovered a fumble, had one interception, and broke up 14 passes

Junior (2024): Competed in all 11 games for the Tigers ... He had two interceptions on the season with 53 tackles and 11 pass breakups. 

Sophomore (2023): Started in all 11 games for the Tigers at Defensive Back ... recorded 56 tackles with a career high eight tackles against Dakota State (8/26/23) ... recorded three interceptions, one tackle for loss, and one fumble recovery ... returned seven punts for a total of 69 yards.

Freshman (2022): Appeared in all 11 games in the secondary for the Tiger defense...finished with 17 total tackles, 0.5 TFL and two pass break ups...recorded a season-high six tackles at Dakota State (8/25/22)...had five tackles and two pass break ups at Jamestown (9/3/22).

 

 High School: Ruesink was a three sport athlete for the Quarriers of Dell Rapids High School, participating in football and baseball as a three year starter, and basketball as a two year starter... on the offensive side he recorded 2,000 yards, and 34 touchdowns, while on the defensive he bagged 124 tackles, three sacks, and one interception during his high school career... was named All-Conference three times, All-State twice, Elite 45 twice, 11A running back of the Year, and baseball state tournament MVP awards... was on the honor roll for four years.
