BROOKINGS, S.D. — Dakota Wesleyan Men's Basketball faced the NCAA Division I South Dakota State Jackrabbits on the road in an exhibition contest between conference bouts.

The Tigers opened the game on fire, putting up 23 points in just under nine minutes to take an initial 23-13 lead. Tyson Stevenson led the charge on the scoring front, going 4-8 (50%) from the field and 3-7 (42.9%) from three en route to a team-leading 14-point performance. Easton Neuendorf would match Stevenson from the field at a 4-8 (50%) clip while posting 10 points alongside two rebounds. The Jackrabbits were able to surge back halfway through the first half, however, and turned the contest back in their favor, putting up 51 boards on the night to Dakota Wesleyan's 28. The Tigers were able to get back on pace after a scoring drought, with Andrew Younan posting eight points in total, alongside three rebounds. The added points pushed DWU to 30 first-half points, but it would still trail by 12 heading into the locker room at halftime.

The Jackrabbits kept their offensive pace out of the half, but the Tigers were able to put points on the board with Anthony Riggans, Steele Morgan, and CJ Banks each contributing seven points. Banks would also record four rebounds and three assists off the bench in 23 minutes played. Randy Rosenquist Jr. led the Tigers in assists with five in total, while contributing four boards, three points, three steals, and a block on the day. The added efforts helped push Dakota Wesleyan to a 32-point second half, but the offense from South Dakota State kept the game out of reach the rest of the way. The Tigers limited turnovers compared to the Jackrabbits, but SDSU was able to maximize opportunities off of rebounds and possessions in the paint to claim the 94-62 victory over DWU.

DWU Men's Basketball will be back in action against the Northwestern Red Raiders at the Corn Palace on Wednesday, December 17th, at 7:00 PM. See the full 2025-26 schedule here.
