How it Happened –

The DWU golf teams teed off for the second round of the Battle at the Dance this morning and saw several Tigers improve from round one. Shauna Radant shaved off 17 strokes and Ashton Austreim cut 10 strokes off her score card as well. Carson Van Beek and Peyton Betcher were able to cut back on a few strokes on the second day for the men's team."

Head Coach Meyerink's Thoughts –

"It was a battle, but the teams held it together.  The men didn't have their best stuff today and still finished 3rd, really looking forward to the rest of the season. Carson Van Beek came up big for us today.  He is really a couple swings away from par or better rounds, happy for him, a great tournament for the senior.  On the same note another senior came up big for us on the women's side, Shauna Radant carded her best tournament round and couldn't have picked a better time to do it, such a difficult course so you know she earned it here. Sara Sudenga really stood out this week too, her consistency was impressive, and she showed me she has the composure to compete at the highest level no matter where she plays. I'm happy with both teams, it's a great way to start the season.

Up Next for the Tigers –

The women's team will compete in the Bulldog Spring Invite on April 2nd and 3rd in Lincoln, Nebraska. The men will be back on April 8th and 9th when the Tigers host the DWU Spring Invite.
