MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University men's soccer team returned home for the first time since Aug. 24, falling 2-0 to Doane University in a Great Plains Athletic Conference bout on Saturday at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell, S.D.
Doane tallied its two goal in the first half and never looked back. Connor Dodds (Durham, England) recorded three shots on goal, while Peter Wartenberg (Chaska, Minn.) and Jacob Mello (Bedford, Texas) tallied a shot on goal in the loss.
Goalie Gaston Miteff (Berazategui, Argentina) added seven saves in the contest.
The Tigers (1-8, 0-2 GPAC) host Morningside College for a GPAC match at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell, S.D.
