Tigers compete at USD Twilight

VERMILLION, S.D. – Tyson Jenkins (Clark, S.D.) took home first place in the shot put competition to lead the way for the Dakota Wesleyan University men's track and field team at the USD twilight on Tuesday in Vermillion S.D.

 Jenkins grabbed his second first-place finish of the spring season after taking first in the Red Raider Open. The senior threw a mark of 55-2.25 feet to win the competition. In the hammer throw, Jenkins placed seventh with a mark of 170-8.

 In the 800-meter run, Devin Rihanek (Plankinton, S.D.) finished in sixth place with a time of 2:00.61 minutes. Calob Jones (Aberdeen, S.D.) participated in the shot put and hammer throw, taking ninth place in the shot put with a toss of 47-2.5 and 15th in the hammer throw with a mark of 136-0.

 Matthew Campbell (Gregory, S.D.) tallied seventh in the discus with a toss of 152-1, while Nick Raab (Yankton, S.D.) took 13th with a mark of 125-11.

 The Tigers are back in action at the Mount Marty Twilight today in Yankton, S.D.
