General: Enters his third season for the Tiger men’s cross country team … looks to use his experience in his first two seasons to help him reach personal bests as a junior.

Sophomore (2015): Continued to make strides in his sophomore season, proved to be a strong competitor in each meet for the Tigers … had a 16th-place finish at the Herb Blakely Invite in a time of 27:30 on the 8k course … finished in the top 10 at the Dean White Invitational with an eighth-place finish in 27:30.46 … ended his season at the GPAC Cross Country Championships with a 72nd-place performance in a time of 28:52.44.

Freshman (2014): Led DWU in the GPAC Championships with a time of 26:17.55 on the 8K course … had a 32nd-place finish at the Briar Cliff Invite with a time of 26:43.49 … finished in 13th-place at the DWU Invite with a 28:06.83.

High School: Ran cross country and track for Kenesaw High School … placed fifth at the Nebraska state cross country in a time of 17:11 in a 5K … finished first in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10:00.29 … ran a 4:40 in the 1,600-meter run for a fourth-place finish at state … was a member of the National Honor Society … on the Honor Roll throughout high school … a Nebraska Believers and Achievers Nominee.

Personal: Born on Dec. 27, 1995 … son of Dustin and Carrie Tibbs … an accounting major.

MITCHELL, S.D. – Strength in numbers will be key for the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s cross country team in 2016. The Tigers return four starters from a year ago and will hope to find their footing in the Great Plains Athletic Conference this season under second-year head coach Derik Fossum.
