JAMESTOWN, N.D. — Dakota Wesleyan Men's Cross Country competed up in North Dakota at the Jimmie Cross Country Invitational, hosted by previous GPAC school Jamestown.

The 8000m race included teams of all levels throughout the region, including NCAA Division I foes North Dakota and North Dakota State. The slate served as good competition for the two men's competitors who represented Dakota Wesleyan University at the event. On the leaderboard, the Tigers were led by Graham Huffman, who set a personal best of 30:49.5. His efforts were good for 107th place individually, and when considering the slate of competition, Huffman's showing as a true freshman was extremely impressive. The team's effort was rounded out by sophomore Gage Hohn, who also set a personal best of 32:09.9 to finish 115th overall. Dakota Wesleyan would not register a final team score, but the experience will continue to benefit the cross country program, which has a lot of underclassmen in its ranks. The GPAC Cross Country Championships are just over a month away, making these races that much more crucial to conference standings and qualification.

DWU Men's Cross Country will be back in action at the Blazing Tiger Open later this month. See the full 2025 schedule here.
