Tucson, Ariz. – Dakota Wesleyan softball drops two tough matchups from the desert this afternoon. Tigers fell in five innings during game one as multiple errors bite DWU in a 5-1 game two loss.

How It Happened
Game One
- Aquinas lighted up the board right away in the bottom of the first inning with a solo shot to left field for the 1-0 lead.
- The Tiger's only run of the game came in the top of the second inning off a walk from Aubrey Garbarek as DWU left bases loaded.
- The Saints returned to the plate, putting up two more runs on three hits in the bottom of the inning for the 3-1 lead.
- As the Tigers left a combined two runners on base in the third and fourth inning, AQ went on to plate nine more runs as DWU fell 12-1 in five innings.
- McKinnely Mull went 2-of-3 with a double and triple.
- Adriana Thomason was 1-of-1 with a triple and a walk; Nora Nelson tallied the lone run.
- Meghan Daffern was hit with the loss after pitching three complete innings, allowing seven hits, four runs, three earned runs, and striking out two.
Game Two
- Dakota Wesleyan struck first in game two against Roosevelt in the bottom of the second inning as Alyssa Burke singled to right field, allowing Haley Linke to score for the 1-0 lead.
- The Lakers tallied their first run of the game in the top of the third inning on a DWU error, knotting the score at 1-1.
- Roosevelt gained the lead in the fourth inning 2-1 after an error by DWU.
- After another Lakers run in the fifth and two more in the sixth inning, the Tigers stranded the tying run on third and the go-ahead run on second.
- Burke was 1-of-4 with one RBI.
- Mull went 1-of-3 with a stolen base.
- Tava Boone was tabbed with the loss after tossing seven complete innings, allowing 12 hits, five runs, three earned runs, and striking out two.

Dakota Wesleyan softball is back in action tomorrow morning for their final two games in Arizona. The Tigers will toss the first pitch to St. Francis (Ill.) at 11 a.m., then, at 1:15 p.m., DWU will take on No. 19 Olivet Nazarene.
