Mitchell, S.D. – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced this morning the Week 9, Conference softball players of the week. Among the winners were junior pitcher Tava Boone of Gilbert, Arizona.
Ta. Boone tossed 17 total innings last week for the Tigers, including a 10-inning affair in game one against Dordt. Ta. Boone allowed five hits against the Defenders, and no runs, all while striking out 10 batters for the 1-0 win in game one. Her other outing was in game two against Briar Cliff, where she tossed the complete game while allowing only one run to cross the plate as the Tigers forced the split against the Chargers by taking game two 3-1.
