SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Dakota Wesleyan Women's Soccer faced the Briar Cliff Chargers in conference action down in Iowa.

The Tigers wasted no time taking advantage of opportunities, as the team went up a quick 1-0 after a goal from Hannah Petrucci that was assisted by Annika Enevoldsen in the first minute of the game. Enevoldsen would record four shots in total in addition to her initial assist. Briar Cliff swung back with an offensive counterattack of its own, but the Chargers were stopped for a good portion of the day by Abigail Colgrove, who racked up eight saves on 10 shots-on-goal in just over 80 minutes of gametime. The Chargers did keep the ball away from the Tigers as the half continued, but Dakota Wesleyan maximized its opportunities and was specifically aided by Noelie Prat. Prat scored the first of her two goals in the 24th minute to put DWU up 2-0, which remained the score as both teams went into the locker room at halftime.

Briar Cliff made halftime adjustments that quickly got them back in the game at the beginning of the second half. The 47th and 57th minutes both saw goals scored by the Chargers, tying the game and bringing the score back to an even 2-2. Prat was up to the task after BCU's second goal, however, and less than three minutes later reclaimed the lead for DWU with another unassisted goal, taking a 3-2 advantage. The offense was aided by shot attempts from Molly ColgroveEsmeralda Guzmán, and Rayna Goehring late in the game, but the final goal would be scored by Petrucci, who registered her second point of the game in the 68th minute to put the contest out of reach for Briar Cliff. The 4-2 victory moves Dakota Wesleyan to 5-3-6 on the season and 4-2-3 in conference play.

DWU Women's Soccer will be back in action against the College of Saint Mary on Saturday, October 25th, at 1:00 PM down in Omaha, Nebraska. See the full 2025 schedule here.
