HASTINGS, Neb. — Dakota Wesleyan Women's Soccer faced the Hastings Broncos in the 2025 GPAC Quarterfinals on the road.

The Tigers held the Broncos scoreless through the first half, headlined by a stellar performance from reigning GPAC Defensive Player of the Week, Abigail Colgrove. Colgrove totaled eight saves throughout the contest on 10 shots-on-goal to stiffle the Hastings attack initially, and she received help in the backline from Molly ColgroveMikayla Adams, and Reese Leighton, who were on the pitch for almost the entirety of the contest. Leighton also aided in the offensive effort, registering two shots on goal, leading the team alongside Hannah Petrucci, who also tallied two of her own. In the first half, however, the Tigers were limited to just two shots, but the Broncos managed only five of their own. Both teams headed into the half scoreless.

The second half saw both teams attempt to capitalize on extended offensive opportunities as the pace of the match began to intensify. The Tigers added five more shots to the tally, but the added 11 from Hastings outpaced what the DWU offense was able to put out. The Broncos connected on their first goal of the contest in the 50th minute to take a 1-0 lead, and followed it up five minutes later to extend the lead to 2-0. Dakota Wesleyan continued to fight back, but the Hastings defense was able to prevent the Tigers from getting many more open looks at the net. Adams and Abigail Determan were the other two Tigers to record attempted shots, but neither was able to get one close to scoring position. The Hastings lead stuck through the end of the contest, knocking the Tigers out of the GPAC Championships. Dakota Wesleyan Women's Soccer ends the season with a 5-4-8 record overall and a 4-2-5 record in GPAC play.
