Junior (2025): Appeared in 50 games for the Tigers, making 47 starts primarily at catcher … hit .248 with 39 hits, 11 doubles, 1 home run, 26 RBIs, 18 walks, and 20 runs scored … posted 10 multi-hit games, including three 3-hit performances vs. Dickinson State (2/1), Northern State (3/7), and Concordia (4/25) … matched a season-high with 3 RBIs vs. Morningside (4/13) … drew multiple walks in five games … finished with a .962 fielding percentage over 260 chances and caught three runners stealing.

Sophomore (2024): Appeared in 28 games as a two-way player for the Tigers ... finished the season with a 3-4 record to go with one save with his 6.29 era and career-high 48.2 innings of work ... recorded quality starts against Valley City State with his 6.0 innings one run win (2/25/24) and in the season finale against offensive powerhouse and ranked Bulldogs with his 7.0 innings and two runs of work ... at the plate had a career-high five hits in 14 at bats ... was named a Daktronic NAIA Scholar Athlete.

Freshman (2023): Appeared in eight games on the mound with four starts...finished the season with a 2-2 record while compiling 28.0 innings and 16 punchouts with a 6.11 era...earned his first collegiate win in an eight inning, no run, five strikeout effort against Bethany Lutheran 3/7/23)...picked up his second win going five strong innings at home against Presentation only giving up one run while tallying five strikeouts.

High School: Payne was a two year legion player for the Sioux Falls West legion team... he compiled a 2-1 record through 13 innings pitched... at the plate, he hit .423 with 26 at bats with a .625 OBS.
