General: A vocal leader on the court and provides versatility under the net … will be looked upon to help lead DWU to the NAIA National Tournament.

Junior (2016-17): Led the team with 21.4 points per game and averaged 7.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game … scored his 1,000^th-career point at the NAIA National Tournament … broke the school record for field goal accuracy in a season after shooting 63.3 percent … ranked seventh in the NAIA in field goal percentage, 11^th in total scoring with 705 points and 13^th in points per game … named All-GPAC First Team and NAIA Honorable Mention … set career-highs with 30 points, 13 field goals made and 10 assists against the University of Jamestown … set a career-high with 11 defensive rebounds and 11 total rebounds against Briar Cliff University … scored over 20 points in 19 games.

Sophomore (2015-16): Averaged 4.8 points per game and 2.4 rebounds.

Freshman (2014-15): Had an average of two rebounds and 4.7 points per game … played in 32 games as a true freshman.

High School: Completed a successful career at South Dakota Class AA powerhouse Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School … averaged 9.6 points and seven rebounds per game while shooting 64 percent from the field for the Rough Riders, who finished the 2013-14 season as AA state champions at 23-2 … named to the All-City, All-Tournament and All-Conference teams in his final season … was a Regents’ Scholar.

Spicer named NAIA All-American First Team, Hoglund tabbed to Third Team

MITCHELL, S.D. – After the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s basketball team finished the season in its fourth-straight trip to the NAIA Men’s National Basketball Tournament, two players were named to the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball All-America Team. Jason Spicer (Sioux Falls, S.D.) was named First Team All-American, while Ty Hoglund (Dell Rapids, S.D.) was named Third Team, it was announced by the NAIA Thursday.
