General: Enters his senior season and will be relied upon as a leader for the DWU track and field team … looks to have a strong finish after a good showing at the GPAC Championships a season ago.
Junior (2016-17): Took fourth in the 3000-meter Steeplechase at the GPAC Championships … tallied a first-place finish at the Dordt Invitational in the 3000-meter Steeplechase with a time of 10:23.41 … took second at the Dordt College Outdoor Invitational in the 3000-meter Steeplechase.
Sophomore (2016): Competed at the South Dakota State University Holiday Invite and placed 12th in the Mile with a time of 4:42.52 … finished in fifth place in the 3,000-meter run with 9:15.61 at the Dordt Indoor Open … in the SDSU DII Invitational, Tibbs came in eighth in the 5,000-meter run finishing with a time of 16:04.39 … competed in two events in the Dennis Young Classic. In the 4x400-meter race his team came in eighth, and in the 3,000-meter run he came in fourth with a time of 9:09.69 … finished the BVU Invite with a sixth place finish in the Mile run … capped off the indoor season with the Great Plains Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. Came in 13th in the 3,000-meter run and eighth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:48.82 … in the outdoor season, he took first place at the Dordt Invitational in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:23.41.
Freshman (2015): Competed at the indoor Minnesota State Multi and Open and had strong performance in the 5,000-meter run, as he finished in first with a time of 16:03.95 … had a sixth place finish in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 9:16.18 at the indoor Dordt Open … finished the mile run at the Buena Vista Invite in a time of 4:32.63 … capped off his indoor season at the GPAC Championships with a fourth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 15:42.43 and finished ninth place in the 3,000-meter run in 9:04.95 … started the outdoor season at the Vance Butler Invitational with a 14th-place finish in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 16:12.86 … finished in fifth place in the 5,000-meter-run at the Red Raider Open in a time of 15:55.43 … completed his freshman season at the GPAC Championships with a fifth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:08.90 and finished 12th in the men’s 5,000-meter run with a 16:15.02.
High School: Ran cross-country and track for Kenesaw High School … placed fifth at state cross-country in a time of 17:11 for a 5K … finished first in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:00.29 … ran a 4:40 in the 1600 meter run for a fourth place finish at state … was a member of the National Honor Society … on the honor roll throughout high school … a Nebraska Believers and Achievers Nominee.
