General: Mathews transfers to DWU from the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, S.D ... she graduated from Jones County High School in Draper, S.D.
High School: Finished her senior season with 20.3 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, 4.2 assists per game, 48 percent from the field and 537 points … she finished her career with 1,612 points, 477 rebounds, 392 assists and 288 steals … Mathews led her team to a 22-4 record her senior year … a four-time conference champion, three-time Southern Plains champion, two-time district champ and a region champion once … earned conference MVP three times and a two-time All-State Second Team selection … named Southern Plains MVP three times and South Dakota State All-Tournament team … holds the record for Jones County in career points per game, points, steals and assists … four-time National Honor Society member and the salutatorian of her class … a four-year starter in cheerleading and volleyball.
