Women’s golf opens season at Mount Marty Invitational

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women's golf team competed at the Mount Marty Invite at the Fox Run and Hillcrest Golf Courses Thursday and Friday in Yankton, S.D.

 Jade Burr (Belle Fourche, S.D.) led the way for the Tigers as she finished in 14th place with a two-day total of 172. Niki Nelson (Platte, S.D.) came in 17th after carding a 176.

 Jayden Bormann (Parkston, S.D.) finished tied for 18th as she tallied an 87 and a 90 in the invitational, while Kaitlyn Greenhoff (Dell Rapids, S.D.) recorded a 179, good for tied for 22nd.

 Other golfers who competed were Megan Hinker (Lennox, S.D.), Ronae Klein (Winner, S.D.), Ashley Zimmer (Mitchell, S.D.), Brooke Ehlers (Worthing, S.D.), Emily Sharkey (Upton, Wyo.) and Jordan Glanzer (Howard, S.D.).

 The DWU women's golf team compete Sept. 9 and 10 at the Fremont Golf Course in Fremont, Neb.
